LAIMA Lives with her Family in Manitoba.
Hi Maida,

Laima's flight was delayed and she arrived at 15:25, we picked her up at about 15:35, she was pretty scared and shaking in the kennel.....Took her for a relief walk and gave her some water and a bit of food before taking off to go home. We kept the kennel open in the van because she was crying and we felt sorry for her...she slowly crawled out onto Caroline's lap...after about 15 minutes she was on Nic's lap and then on Mathieu's...and then she decided that laps weren't much fun so she started putting her front paws up and looking out...about then we got home. She went for a bit of a walk and then played in the house, ate and drank and now she's taking a walk with Caroline and Nic outside. I think she'll be fine...Thanks so much for everything...I'll e-mail you later with the full name we select for her.
Here are some pics...boy is it ever hard to keep her still for that! How did you manage 9?
Good morning Maida,
Just thought I'd send you an update on Laïma. She's doing great and has adapted remarkably well...She is pretty well house trained already...she barks when she needs to go outside and runs to the leash and noses at it until we get there. Last night she didn't even cry to go during the night...She went out at 10:30 and not again until 6 this morning. She didn't wet the floor, but as soon as she was outside she peed and then pooped as soon as we reached the poop area. She loves to play and LOVES the snow we've been having! 'll. be in touch regarding her registration ...Are all the puppies now gone to their permanent homes? I'm attaching some pictures of Laïma; you may share them with the people who own Keiko if you want. Have a great day.

Hi Maida, hum maybe I should juste leave some food out...I don't know...I've read that if you leave food out around the clock they can get stomach problems like distention and get really sick... that's why I was doing the 2 feedings a day thing. Yes, Rocky mountain horses are a breed of horse, they are gaited (they have an intermediate walk between the walk and the trot that is sooooooooooooooo smooth it's easy to ride and easy on old bones! LOL). As you've seen on the site they are great temperament...we just love them. There are very few breeders in Canada. We do have lots of snow and it's still snowing....Laima seem to love it! Laima went downhill sliding on a GT today...she seemed to love it! Have a good day/evening...Dominique

Hi Maida,
Sorry for the long silence! Everything is fine out here...except for the cold of course....It sure was cold in the last two weeks, it's warmed up a bit now so it feel really nice (funny how -23 cel. can feel nice after a colder stint LOL).
Laima is doing fine, well more than fine to tell the truth. She is a quick learner and like to explore! She's spent the last 3 afternoons  outside digging snow tunnels with the kids...I brought her to the vet for her vaccinations the week of Jan. 23. She got quite few compliments that day!!! She got a good exam and health report...
We've finally decided on a name for the registration papers: DoubleC Princesse Laima  I hope that's okay to meet the criteria.
Did you manage to get a home for all of them critters? I sure hope so, I saw on your page that there was another puppy that has his page. It's nice to see the siblings. We'll try to take pictures tomorrow outside in the snow if it's not too cold.
ANyway take care, and hope to hear from you soon.
Dominique

From Laima!
Hope all is well! Laima is having the time of her life running around in the bush around our place...She's still being pampered and spoiled and loves 'gathering" the horses for supper time! We're still planning to breed her after she is two (our daughter has big plans! LOL), but regardless of what happens she's staying with us, there is NO way we're parting with her, she's affectionate, funny, SMART, etc...(but you know
all of that LOL!) (and she was HO so funny wearing her "feminine"
panties and pads!) ;-) We are expecting two foals this spring (the mare in the middle of the picture is one of the moms to be...)...We're loving our new place, the house is slowly coming along, we're living in it, and finishing it as we go.Have a great new year and keep in touch...
